Pupils take part in Race for Life

18th May 2017

On Friday 12th May, we held our school Race for Life event. This required both staff and pupils to walk, jog or run a measured route around school.

This is a cause close to the school’s heart due to the untimely loss of Mrs Jackie Sharp, our vice principal, last June and Miss Sally Mulliss, one of our midday supervisors, in June 2013.

Children in each Key Stage were asked to run a set distance – although many children decided to challenge themselves to see how many laps they could complete in a certain time.

The children (and adults!) thoroughly enjoyed taking part, and each participant received their very own Race for Life medal. They showed spirit, dedication and teamwork and we are immensely proud of each and every one of them!
