Wainwright pupils have performed alongside thousands of other young people to form one of the largest school choirs in the world, Young Voices.

Our choir – Wainwright Rocks – joined over 5000 other children to sing a range of songs at Sheffield’s FlyDSA Arena filled with an audience of supporters.

Mrs Hallam said: “This is the fifth year we have attended Young Voices and I’m so moved with pride when listening to all the children singing with such passion and in harmony.

“I would like to give a special thank you to all our parents, grandparents and carers for your support in making this event happen. Your children were a credit to the academy!”

The parents of children who took part in the Young Voices concert will be invited into the academy to watch the Young Voices DVD with their children on a date to be confirmed soon.

Wainwright Rocks meets every Thursday (3.10pm till 4.10pm) and we hope that all the children will continue to attend so they can be a part of other events throughout the year. If your child no longer wishes to attend please can you let the academy know so that their place can be given to someone else on the waiting list.
