Our academy uniform is detailed in the documents below. This explains what uniform should be worn up to year 4, together with the new uniform for year 5 and 6 pupils. Please ensure that children always adhere to these uniform rules – it creates a consistent look through the academy, and we know that our pupils love to wear their Wainwright Primary Academy uniform with pride.
Jewellery, hair and headwear
On health and safety grounds, we do not allow children to wear jewellery to school (except for small studs and watches).
Excessive hairstyles are strongly discouraged and the decisions about the suitability of an individual style are the responsibility of the Principal whose decision will be final. Shaved designs are not allowed, nor are multiple hair colours. All hair accessories should be modest and where possible, in the academy colours.
We do not allow headwear to be worn during class time or inside school buildings, except for religious or medical reasons.
All clothing should be clearly labelled with your child’s name. This is especially important, as uniform items look similar and can easily be confused for another child’s. The school cannot accept responsibility for any lost items.
