  • Outdoor play spaces – climbing frame, bike track, construction zone, and an outdoor painting station, ensuring children benefit from fresh air and physical activity all year round.
  • Forest school sessions – led by qualified staff, these sessions encourage hands-on learning in nature.

Sessions and charges

Morning session, 8.30 – 11.30am
Afternoon session, 12.20 – 3.20pm
Full-day session, 8.40am – 3.15pm
For added convenience, breakfast and after-school clubs are available from 7.30am to 6pm.

Lunchtime is from 11.40am to 12.30pm each day.

School meals cost £2.85 per day. Meals are free once children attend full time under the universal free school meals (UFSM) scheme. Packed lunches are also welcome.

Lunchtime supervision and care is charged at £2.50 per day for the 50-minute lunchtime period.

Families may be eligible for 15 or 30 hours free childcare which can be spread across morning, afternoon or full-day spaces.

We believe a strong partnership between school and home is key to success. Our ‘parents as partners’ approach ensures we all work together to achieve the best for the children attending our school. We offer a transition programme into nursery with activities to help everyone feel comfortable with additional opportunities to meet staff, learn about the curriculum, and join in learning with your child.

Our nursery is located in our specialist early years space within Wainwright Primary Academy, in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
