Teacher-led learning – our experienced teachers guide your child’s development using the early years foundation stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring they reach their full potential.
A welcoming community – we celebrate every child’s uniqueness and offer extra support for those learning English as an additional language.
Free childcare – we offer up to 30 hours of funded childcare for eligible three and four-year-olds, making high-quality education accessible to all families.
Holistic approach – we focus on holistic development, meeting the unique needs of every child, supporting their growth academically, socially, and emotionally.
Interactive animal care – guinea pigs that children can feed and learn to care for, fostering responsibility and empathy.
Engaging learning zones – group carpet learning area, cosy reading space, and puppets to enhance fine motor skills and early writing development.
Creative play and exploration – art and craft, mark-making, role play, home corner and construction areas to spark creativity and imaginative paly.
Sensory play – dedicated water and sand areas for hands-on learning and sensory development.
Outdoor play spaces – climbing frame, bike track, construction zone, and an outdoor painting station, ensuring children benefit from fresh air and physical activity all year round.
Forest school sessions – led by qualified staff, these sessions encourage hands-on learning in nature.
Nature exploration – access to the school garden area for planting and growing, helping children develop an understanding of nature, sustainability, and healthy eating.
School community – nursery children take part in whole-school events, assemblies, and seasonal celebrations, preparing them for full time education.
Morning session, 8.30 – 11.30am
Afternoon session, 12.20 – 3.20pm
Full-day session, 8.40am – 3.15pm
For added convenience, breakfast and after-school clubs are available from 7.30am to 6pm.
Lunchtime is from 11.40am to 12.30pm each day.
School meals cost £2.85 per day. Meals are free once children attend full time under the universal free school meals (UFSM) scheme. Packed lunches are also welcome.
Lunchtime supervision and care is charged at £2.50 per day for the 50-minute lunchtime period.
Families may be eligible for 15 or 30 hours free childcare which can be spread across morning, afternoon or full-day spaces.
We believe a strong partnership between school and home is key to success. Our ‘parents as partners’ approach ensures we all work together to achieve the best for the children attending our school. We offer a transition programme into nursery with activities to help everyone feel comfortable with additional opportunities to meet staff, learn about the curriculum, and join in learning with your child.
