February has been a busy month for the pupils at Wainwright Primary Academy as we celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week.

Throughout the week we took part in special assemblies, classroom activities and discussions which all focused-on wellbeing, kindness and understanding emotions.

We took part in forest school sessions where we explored the woodland environment and took part in imaginative outdoor learning activities. We made some habitats for minibeasts and sat in our memorial garden for some quiet reflection. Reception’s forest school session even took inspiration from the popular children’s book ‘we’re going on a bear hunt’.

Even when the weather took a turn, we still made it outside and we had the best time jumping in puddles and splashing each other.
