We are standing united with the NHS, social care and other members within the education family to create a joint ‘Hope Orchard’. As we start to emerge from the pandemic we want to look forward to a healthy, greener future for our community.
Four children from each year group – from foundation to year 6 – planted seven fruit trees, comprising of three apples, two plum and two cherry. It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved, with the added bonus of sunshine.
The WPA Eco team will continue to nurture and take care of the trees, so they become well established, allowing many people to benefit from the ‘Hope Orchard’ for years to come.
