Yesterday our talented year 3 teacher Miss Herbert attended the graduation ceremony for her PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education) at Nottingham Trent University. This day of celebration is richly deserved following her hard work on the course and since becoming part of the Wainwright Primary team.
Miss Herbert completed her first degree in Dance at De Montfort University (we’ve all seen the video from the recent creative arts workshop!) and subsequently decided she wanted to go into teaching. After making this career decision, she has worked extremely hard and completed her PGCSE at NTU, picking up her certificate yesterday alongside a number of primary colleagues from across the Diverse Academies trust.
She says: “I wanted to become a teacher because I have always been interested in how children learn. I wanted to be able to give something back, and am delighted to do that every day at WPA.”
From all at Wainwright, we want to pass on our congratulations. We’re extremely proud of Miss Herbert and wish her all the very best in her career at the academy.
