Appointed Academy Committee Governor
Reason I became a governor.
I have worked in education for nearly 30 years and believe that I have experiences and skills that will be useful in this role.
I have a passion for inclusion, both for those with SEND and in its broadest sense. I strongly believe in the power of education and how it can change young lives.
I have four grandchildren under the age of 11 and their experiences of education show how important it is to become involved and support positive changes.

What do you like about the role?
I am new to the role so am learning about what makes a governor a governor. I am keen to become involved in the school communities and support events that recognise achievements at all levels. I hope to be a “critical friend” and have the ability to question and challenge where needed.
