We have had an amazing summer term, filled with lots of exciting activities.
Key stage one had an exciting visit from White Post Farm. The children even had the opportunity to meet and hold the animals. They learnt a lot of interesting facts about each animal, including their habitats, diets and unique characteristics. A big thank you to White Post Farm and the animals for visiting us, we had the best time.
Year 5 had their mini police graduation after successfully completing the programme. Throughout the year, the children have learned about community safety, responsibility, teamwork and the important role the police play within our communities. They have shown enthusiasm, maturity and commitment throughout and were delighted to receive recognition for their hard work at the graduation ceremony.
We had an incredible football match against Hillocks Primary Academy, one of our fellow primary academies within the trust.
We came away with an impressive 3-0 victory and showed great teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the match. Well done to everyone who took part, you should be very proud.
Our summer fayre was a huge success and it was wonderful to see the whole school community gathered together to show their support. We managed to raise an incredible £500 which will go towards providing enriching opportunities for the children.
We had a variety of stalls including games, food and drink as well as ice cream van which was amazing addition in the hot weather!
We wanted to say a big thank you to everyone donated, volunteered and helped make the event such a success, your support is greatly appreciated.
Finally, we said an emotional goodbye to our to our wonderful year 6 class. But we said our goodbyes, we celebrated their time at Wainwright with a water fight and an amazing prom.
The water fight was a huge hit and armed with water guns, the children enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of laughter, teamwork and plenty of fun.
The year 6 prom was an incredible evening, everyone looked fantastic in their outfits. We spent the evening dancing, laughing and creating some special final memories at Wainwright!
