On Friday 15th November we once again supported Children in Need with a variety of fundraising activities at Wainwright Primary. Pupils and staff donated £1 to come to the academy in spotacular dress up, we put our loose change on a giant Pudsey bear and a spotty army of PTA members and volunteers baked over 800 Pudsey Bear biscuits which anyone could donate and buy (tasty!).

We raised a huge total of £419.36! Thanks to all who donated.

Our pupil Academy Councillors visited every classroom and chose their favourite spotacular fancy dress – the winning pupils were rewarded with juice and biscuits, a framed photograph of themselves in their outfits along with a certificate.

We had a wonderful day raising money for this important charity, and our final total was an amazing £419.36!! This money will support projects working with disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

A huge thank you to every single one of our pupils and family members who have donated to this very worthy cause.
