We had an amazing opportunity to meet real life police officers this week, when Nottinghamshire Police visited with their protected personal carrier van (PPC, or ‘riot van’)
Children got to try on the special uniform, hold various types of equipment, as well as learn about the work police officers do to keep our community safe. One officer even took the time to talk about his length of service and the different roles he has had within the force.
The highlight for the children was when Mrs Hallam was arrested for drinking too much coffee and put inside the cell of the van!!
We really hope that through taking part in the Mini Police Scheme, we will inspire our future generations to consider roles themselves within the police force.
